As the 2023 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season winds down, McMurry University finds its footing toward an impressive run.
 
Head coach Matt Tarpley's teams turned back a stretch of six successive defeats across all spring disciplines to triumph in three of their last four head-to-head outings and register one of the year's top Apex totals Wednesday, March 8, through Saturday, March 11. The Maroon and White upended Hendrix College 2-0 in League of Legends, swept through Birds with Beards and Tennessee Tech University by similar outcomes in Overwatch, and posted 168 points in Apex in the span.
 
McMurry, sporting an 11-20 overall 2022-23 record, is back at it with competitions against Hendrix College in Valorant Monday, March 13; Colorado College in Rocket League Tuesday, March 14; and Apex Thursday, March 16.
