McMurry University lost 12-25, 19-25 and 17-25 to Sul Ross State University Saturday, Oct. 14 in Alpine.
Junior outside hitter Jacee Dinkins (Azle, Texas) led the team with eight of the total 28 kills and was followed by six from junior outside/right side hitter Jennika Willis (Abilene, Texas) and five from senior middle/right side hitter Addyson Tiffin (Bushland, Texas). Senior defensive specialist/libero Adile Leal (Clute, Texas) and freshman setter/defensive specialist Erin Fallon (Boerne, Texas) had two aces each while junior setter Ashlyn Quillan (Van Alstyne, Texas) contributed one. Freshman middle/right side hitter Rylie Patterson (Amarillo, Texas) blocked two shots. Fallon had 13 assists, while Quillan added seven and freshman setter Allison Montoya (Fort Worth, Texas) chipped in five. Leal finished with 18 of the team's 45 digs, sophomore defensive specialist/libero Isabela Dorsey (Waco, Texas) had seven and Quillan added four.
The Lady War Hawks host University of Mary Hardin-Baylor at 6 p.m. Oct. 20 in Kimbrell Arena.
