SECOND HALF SPREE CARRIES UT-DALLAS PAST MCMURRY

ABILENE, TEXAS – The underclassman duo of sophomore Dylan Caudle (San Angelo, Texas) and freshman forward Armando Saldana (Wichita Falls, Texas) each fired off two offensive strike attempts, leading McMurry University in American Southwest Conference action Thursday, Oct. 27.

The War Hawks held a 7-6 total shots advantage on visiting UT-Dallas, with Caudle and Saldana leading the way. Head coach Marquis Muse's squad did find the back of the Comets' net in the 75th minute when freshman midfielder Bryan Rios (Rio Grand City, Texas) placed a perfect corner kick to freshman defender Ahmad Alhendi. Alhendi headed it into the left side of the visitor's goal.

However, UT-Dallas could answer the home team's late tally with a first-half penalty-kick score and two goals off set pieces in the 51st and 62nd minutes to leave Wilford Moore Stadium with a 3-1 decision.

McMurry (5-9-2 overall, 3-5 ASC) concludes its home regular season schedule Saturday, Oct. 29. Kickoff against the University of Ozarks is 2:30 p.m.
