The War Hawks faced an 18-point deficit at one point but managed to claw their way back within six after a 12-0 run at the top of the fourth quarter. Concordia was able to ice the game with 37.7 remaining on the clock to snag the win.

Junior guard Aubrey Guerra applied pressure on the Tornados before drawing her fifth foul to miss the final moments of the game. She registered14 points, shooting 5-7 from the field and 4-6 from behind the arc.

Freshman Clair Headings showed grit on the defensive end, posting a game-high five steals.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS – The Lady 'Cats schedule has been faced with challenges due to cancellations due to COVID-19 related concerns, leaving them with only four contests under their belt currently.

In a non-conference battle, the Wildcats were able to snag their season opener back on Dec. 19, 2020 with a win over McMurry, 63-50. LC didn't see the court again until Jan. 23, 2021, defeating the Ozarks 84-75 to earn their first conference win of the season.

Sophomore forward Alex Harrison has been a vital piece to the Wildcat roster this season, leading the team in shooting (13.0 PPG) and rebound (9.8 RPG) average. She followed up her 20-point effort against McMurry with a season high 21-point showing against the Ozarks.

Junior guard Miya McKinney looks to be a threat on the defensive end as the season progresses, averaging 8.5 rebounds in just two appearances.

As a team, the Wildcats are averaging 71.0 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY VS. LC – McMurry leads the all-time series with a 14-8 record. The Wildcats snagged the first matchup against the War Hawks this season and own a slight 8-6 advantage over McM in the last 13 games.

As a team, Belhaven went 33.8 percent from the field and 60.9 percent from the free throw line. The Blazers' bench scored 30 points in the contest.

Senior point guard Mariah Collins currently leads the team with a shooting average of 10.7 as well as in assists (5.3) and steals (3.1).

SERIES HISTORY VS. BEL – McMurry owns a 3-2 record against Belhaven since McMurry officially rejoined the ASC in 2016-17. Belhaven claimed the last matchup back on Feb. 6, 2020, defeating the War Hawks 91-63. McMurry's last victory over the Blazers came back on November 29, 2018 in Kimbrell Arena, 77-74.
