SHREVEPORT, Louisiana – In its second meet of the season, McMurry Swimming brings home a split decision against Centenary College on Saturday in Shreveport, Louisiana.
For a second time this season, the men earned the tally for the War Hawks, taking down the Gents by a score of 168-69. The men remain undefeated this season and continue to add to the 4-0 streak from last spring's campaign.

The men got off to hot start with a win in the 200-yard medley relay. Anchored by senior
Alec Satre,
Bryce Borak,
Logan Pritchett and
Jeremiah Atkins finished first in 1:45.59.
In his first competition of the season, Satre followed up his relay performance with a top finish in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:17.42. In second was teammate
Alec Feldhousen, who finished in 12:19.61. Satre later earned the top podium finish in the 100-yard free in 52.81.
Freshman
Matthew Schloz continued his strong performance from the season opening dual against Austin College, finishing first in the 200-yard free in 1:57.29. Schloz also earned a top finish in the 500-free (5:26.84) and second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:14.22).
Pritchett finished first in the 100-yard breast, tagging in at 1:07.12, just 0.06 seconds before Centenary's Tripp Montgomery.
Borak,
Myles Pickens and
Brayden Reeves took the top three spots in the 50-yard free, with Borak earning the top spot in 23.79. Pickens and Reeves tagged in at 24.35 and 24.5, respectively.
Despite not competing against a Centenary swimmer,
Isaiah Narvaez and Borak both improved on their previous times in the 1000-yard backstroke. Narvaez finished in 59.22, while Borak finished at 59.53. The pair also swam against one another in the 100-back, with Narvaez finishing first in 2:14.70.
Closing out the final event, Atkins, Reeves,
Nigel Mason and Pritchett brought home the top slot in the 200-free relay in a time of 1:34.27.
On the women's side, the War Hawks were edged by the Ladies, 151-86.
Despite the final score,
Lorin Mow continued her success in the 100-yard free, beating out two Ladies for a first-place finish with a time of 1:00.49. Mow also earned a close second place finish in the 200-yard fly (2:36.23).
Sophomore
Cheyenne Lavender claimed the 500-free in 6:33.91.
Sophomore
Melanie Jimenez improved on her previous 50-yard free swim two weeks ago, finishing second in 29.08.
Next up for McMurry swimming is the Trinity Invite on Nov. 19-21 in San Antonio, Texas.
