ABILENE, Texas – Just one game appears on the schedule this week for McMurry University Men's Soccer, as the War Hawks play host to Sul Ross State University at Wilford Moore Stadium Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. in the American Southwest Conference opener for both teams.

Last week: The War Hawks defeated University of the Southwest, 3-1, before playing to a 1-1 draw against Jarvis Christian College.
Lara heating up: Senior forward Rafael Lara scored a pair of goals last week. He scored the opening goal against University of the Southwest before scoring the equalizer in the 74th minute in the tie against Jarvis Christian.
Bike ride: Senior midfielder Diego Paz scored on a highlight reel bicycle kick for the second goal of the game in the win over Southwest.
ASC opener: The War Hawks were predicted to finish fifth in the preseason poll after a fourth-place finish a year ago.
About Sul Ross: The Lobos are 0-3 in 2018, allowing more than three goals per game. This is the first ever matchup between the Lobos and War Hawks, as this is the inaugural season for Sul Ross men's soccer.
