CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – A goal in the 68th minute was the only blemish on an otherwise strong defensive effort by the McMurry University men's soccer team in a 1-0 American Southwest Conference road loss at the University of the Ozarks.  The War Hawks fell to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the ASC, while the Eagles improved to 5-4 and 2-3 in conference play.
 
Overall, the two teams matched up equally, with UO taking seven shots (four on-goal) and McM six (three on-goal). Ozarks had the upper hand in the first half of play, out-shooting McM 4-1, with the second belonging to the War Hawks' attackers, 5-3.  
 
Midfielder Diego Paz had three of McMurry's shots, with one on-goal.  James Alexander, Jesus Sanchez and Mazin Elhassan all had shots, as well.
 
McMurry senior goalkeeper Alex Chavez had three save in the match.  Ozarks goalie Logan Valestin also had three stops.
 
The two teams duked it out to a 0-0 tie after the first half and midway through the second.  In the 68th minute, the Eagles tallied to only score of the night off a free kick from 22 yards out, with Miguel Reyes converting his second goal of the year and the eventual match winner.
