RICHARDSON, Texas – McMurry University men's soccer played the University of Texas-Dallas to a scoreless match for the first 60 minutes, before giving up a pair of second-half goals in a 2-0 road loss. The setback left the War Hawks with a 6-5-2 record overall and 3-3-2 in the ASC, while the Comets improved to 7-5-1 and 5-3-1 in the league.
McM actually out-shot UTD in the first half, 7-5. However, by games end it was the Comets with a 20-13 advantage in shot attempts.

Diego Paz had two tries, apiece. Webb had McMUrry's lone shot on-goal.

Francisco Avilez and the War Hawks' defense kept the Comets at bay until the hosts notched a goal off a free kick at the 60:46 juncture. That was followed by a late goal – at 87:17 – as McM pressed for an equalizer, which made it the 2-0 final. Avilez had a total of four saves, three in the second half.
