Former McM Quarterback Neuman Leads Team to German Bowl Title as Head Coach

Congratulations to former McMurry University quarterback Jordan Neuman, who led the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns to the German Football League championship last weekend in his first year as the team's head coach.  In the German Bowl XXXIX, Neuman's team defeated the New Yorker Lions, 14-13.

Neuman played for McM from 2001-04.  Neuman ranks No. 4 in both career total offense (4,702) and career passing yards (4,245) in the McMurry record books.  He was an all-American Southwest Conference honorable mention choice in 2003.

Neuman played all four seasons under former McM head coach Steve Keenum.

After graduation, Neuman joined the Unicorns as a quarterback, playing through the 2008 season. For two seasons (in 2009-10), after his playing career was finished, Neuman became the Unicorns' offensive coordinator and helped the team to a South Division championship. He then became the Vienna Vikings offensive coordinator for three years (2011-13), winning two Austria Bowls and the Eurobowl once.

He returned to coach the Unicorns – again serving as the offensive coordinator – in 2014. He held that role until taking over the reins as the head coach for 2017.
