AUSTIN, Texas – McMurry University gave up just a single goal, but it proved to be enough to hand the team a 1-0 American Southwest Conference loss at Concordia University-Texas. The War Hawks fell to 3-7-2, 2-3-2 in the ASC, while the Tornados upped their record to 9-3 overall, and 4-2 in the league.
 
CUTX tallied in the 26th minute and then made it stand up.
 
The War Hawks took eight shots, four on goal. Ahmad Holt Jr. put both of his shots on goal, with Mike Cruz and Javi Mejia-Escalante each putting a shot on CUTX net-minder Rob Oakley. McM took four tries in each period.
 
The Tornados amassed 17 shots in the match, eight in the first half and nine in the second.  CUTX had 10 attempts on-goal.
 
In the McM nets, Alex Chavez had nine saves with another sterling effort.
