IRVING, Texas – McMurry University volleyball's nine-match win streak came to a screeching halt, as it was defeated by the University of Dallas, 3-0. The Crusaders (18-9) topped the War Hawks (15-6) by scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-18.
McM –which had lived by it strong attack percentages – had its second-worst hitting night of the season, managing just a .021 average (31 kills, 28 errors, 141 att.) versus UD's sizeable front.
Catherine Heath's nine kills topped either team. Heath also added a pair of blocks.
Audrey Sanders led the War Hawks with three blocks, as the team amassed eight total blocks.

Kelsey Harkins and Sanders all contributed five kills apiece.
On the defensive side of the court,
Jessica Cory had a match-leading 21 digs. Harkins and
Jessica Tennis made 12 digs, each.
Tennis also gave off nine assists. Teammate and fellow setter
Morgan Thomas set up for a total of 15 assists.
Ironically, U of Dallas was the last team to defeat McMurry – 3-1 – almost one month ago (Sept. 16) in Abilene.
McM will be back in action on Saturday (Oct. 18) versus LeTourneau University in Abilene.
