ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University's soccer programs will play its home openers against NAIA Central Christian College out of McPherson, KS, Friday afternoon at Edward's Field. The War Hawks women (0-1) kickoff at 3 p.m. and the men (0-2) will begin at 5 p.m. at Edwards Field.

The Central Christian Lady Tigers enter the match with a 1-3 record. They have allowed 17 goals in four games.

The McMurry women fell in overtime against Houston Victoria 2-1 Tuesday. Rachel Moore scored the only goal in the match for the War Hawks to start off her sophomore campaign after scoring five goals last season.

The Central Christian men have started the season 2-0. They have scored 10 goals in the two games that included an 8-3 blowout of Dallas Christian.

McMurry men's fell to the defending Heartland Conference Champions in St. Edwards Thursday, 4-0 and lost to NAIA Houston Victoria Tuesday. UHV scored three goals in the last 16 minutes of the match to beat McMurry 4-1.
