ALPINE, Texas – McMurry University cruised to its 10th-straight win to start the season with a 25-17, 25-20, 25-12 victory over Sul Ross State in American Southwest Conference action.
Bailey Marcum had seven kills to lead the War Hawks to 10-0 overall and 2-0 in league play.
McMurry hit .157 as a team and limited the Lobos to a .143 hitting percentage in the victory. Stephanie Portillo had eight kills for the Lobos in the losing effort.
The War Hawks return to action Wednesday with their first home game against NCAA Division II Panhandle State at 7 p.m.
