2010 Season (Junior):

Named to the ASC West Division First-Team as a middle blocker. Also named a member of the ASC Fall Distinguished Athlete and all academic teams. First on the team in kills with 246 an average of 2.93 per set. Recorded 13 games with double-digit kills including the season high of 18 against LeTourneau on Oct. 2. Second on the team in digs with 261 with average of 3.11 per set. Recorded 14 games with double-digit digs and a season high of 21 against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Oct. 15. Earned nine double-double games with kills and digs. Recorded 24 service aces, which was third on the team.


2009 Season (Sophomore):

Named ASC West Division Newcomer of the Year after a strong performance in her first season at McMurry. Was second on the team in both kills and blocks. Recorded 203 kills and had a .211 hitting percentage. Posted 70 total blocks including 17 solos. Recorded 113 digs and led the team with 34 service aces. Named second-team all-ASC West Division and averaged 1.93 kills per set. Had a season-high 19 kills against East Texas Baptist Oct. 16. Recorded double-digit kills in five matches. Had a season-high seven blocks on two different occasions.

2008 Season (UT-Permian Basin):

Transferred from UT-Permian Basin where she played one season and was part of a Falcon team that posted a 23-14 record for head coach Steve Alcinena.

High School:

Played four seasons at middle blocker for head coach Patty Dominguez at Monahans High School in Monahans. As a freshman she helped her team to a 34-10 record and a state championship. Then, as a sophomore, the team finished as the state runner up after posting a 41-3 record. As a senior they returned to the state championship game and fell short, but the team did post a 35-10 record. She was a four-time all-district selection. As a junior and senior she was a first team all-district selection and as a senior, she was the district and region MVP. She was named to the first team 3A all-state team and was an all-star game selection. Also lettered in softball for four seasons playing first base.

Personal:

2008 graduate of Monahans High School in Monahans. Grandmother, Doylene McGuire, attended McMurry University. Her aunt, Megan David, played college volleyball for Texas Tech and Angelo State. Her uncle, Monte McGuire, played football for Texas Tech. Her sister, Cassidee Avary, played volleyball for two seasons at the College of the Southwest. Played alongside Brittany Hughes at Monahans High School who went on to play volleyball at Texas Tech. Majoring in psychology. Born 05 Dec. 1989.
