CLINTON, Miss. - Jalessa Taylor converted a 3-point play with 13 seconds remaining to break a 49-all tie and Mississippi College outlasted McMurry 52-49 Monday night at A.E. Wood Coliseum. Anna Patterson scored 20 points and Taylor added 10 to help the Choctaws move to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in American Southwest Conference play.
McMurry trailed by as many as 10 points in the second half, fought back to tie the score at 37, and eventually took a four-point lead before falling in the final seconds. Freshman
Rikeita Thomas scored 15 points in the losing effort and McMurry fell to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in league play.
