L.D. “Sandy” Foreman, ‘35

A native of Spur, Foreman was four year star for the McMurry football team, named an all-conference tackle in 1931. He played on the 1934 McMurry championship team, which capped off its season by defeating Abilene Christian College for the first time in his career.

He worked in several different occupations before becoming an instructor for the United States Air Force in 1954. He retired in 1973 and lived in Amarillo, where he is active in church and charity work.
