High School:

Played for head coach Sylvia Miller at Maypearl High School in Maypearl. Was the team’s captain; she was named her district’s Newcomer of the Year. She was also a first-team all-district selection her senior season and was named the district’s Hitter of the Year. Named to both the academic all-district and academic all-state teams. Selected to play in an al-star game. Also lettered in basketball where she was a four-year lettermen. She was an all-district performer and an academic all-state selection. Averaged over 20 points per game in each of her last two seasons. Also lettered in track and tennis.

Personal:

2009 graduate of Maypearl High School in Maypearl. Her uncle, Duane Walker, was a first-round draft selection by the Cincinnati Reds in 1976; he played Major League Baseball and had stints with the Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Her father, Robert, played college football at Sam Houston State and college baseball at both Dallas Baptist University and Angelina Junior College. Once fouled out of a high school basketball with five offensive fouls. Born 06 July 1990.
