Davis, who joined the War Hawks volleyball staff in August 2023, played for Coach Petree in 2022, producing 240 kills, 46 service aces, and 22 and a half total blocks en route to second-team all-ASC honors. Before coming to McMurry, she was an all-state selection at Wylie High School and played at NCAA Division II Midwestern State University before transferring. Her playing career concluded last fall.
Davis does have prior experience, having led a club team for the Key City volleyball program. She continues working towards her history degree in May 2023 while being an interim assistant coach for the Maroon and White.
“Keetyn has been such an integral part of our team on and off the floor,” Petree said. “We are thrilled to have her remain with us in a coaching role. Her experience on the floor will benefit the new faces and her former teammates this fall and beyond.”
