Made the transition in the spring to offense where he’ll battle for playing time at the wide receiver position his junior season.

2009 Season (Sophomore):

Split time on McMurry’s JV and varsity and served as a backup in the secondary as a sophomore.

2008 Season (Freshman):

Played on McMurry’s JV team.

High School:

Played four seasons for head coach Walter Fortune at Tarkington High School in Cleveland, Texas. Played defensive back, wide receiver and kick returner. As a senior, he recorded 99 tackles, forced a fumble and blocked three kicks on the defensive side of the ball. Offensively, he caught 12 passes for 138 yards, and returned 23 kickoffs and averaged 20 yards per return. Named honorable mention all-district as a sophomore, and was a first team all-district selection at defensive back as a senior. Named first team academic all-state as a senior. Named a Wendy’s Heisman finalist as a senior. Also lettered in baseball, basketball and track. Missed much of his junior season due to a car accident that kept him out the entire year. Doctors told him he may never play again after fracturing four vertebrae, cracking his sternum and suffered internal bleeding in both his lungs. However, he rebounded, played his senior year and scored a touchdown on the last play of his high school career.

2008 graduate of Tarkington High School in Cleveland, Texas. Majoring in math with aspirations for a coaching career in football. Born 07 Dec. 1988.
