Played two seasons for Pharr San-Juan Alamo High School in Donna for head coach Mel Rios. Played running back and helped his team to a 17-5 record over his two seasons on varsity. As a senior, he rushed for 1,475 yards, 24 touchdowns and averaged 7.9 yards per carry. Named first team all-district 31-5A and was an honorable mention all-valley selection.

2008 graduate of PSJA High School in Donna. Majoring in elementary education with aspirations to become an educator. Played against Bradley Stephens (RB, Texas A&M) in high school. Born 19 Dec. 1989.
