Leo Brownfield IV joined the McMurry football staff in the summer of 2024 as running backs coach.
He played football at McMurry after three seasons at East Texas Baptist. He earned a degree in business administration from ETBU in 2019. He also was a two-time track and field conference champion at East Texas Baptist.
Brownfield played professional arena football with the Orlando Predators and the North Texas Bulls.
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Brownfield is married to McMurry alum Traya N. Brownfield and has a daughter, Lia.
He also owns Leo’s Warzone, a paintball field in Abilene, and enjoys spending time with his wife, friends and family. He also works out and coaches younger kids with their athletics.
