Keafer Clegg was added to Jordan Neal's staff in 2019. He coaches the defensive line and serves as the team's video coordinator.

Prior to McMurry, Clegg coached the defensive line for two seasons at San Diego Mesa College and was the defensive run game coordinator. With the Olympians, Clegg coached multiple all-conference defensive linemen.

While at McMurry, Clegg has guided one all-conference selection (Marc Jackson, 2019) and one D3football.com National Team of the Week honoree (Devin Nixon, 2021).

Clegg has familiarity with the American Southwest Conference, as he spent four years as a player at Howard Payne University before becoming a student assistant on the defensive line for the Yellow Jackets.

The Fort Worth, Texas, native then took a position as a defensive line coach at Dumas High School for one season, and was also the offensive coordinator for 7th and 8th grade. After improving the record of all three teams, Clegg returned to Howard Payne for two seasons as a graduate assistant defensive line coach before coaching with Jennings in San Diego.

"I'm thrilled to have Coach Clegg join the War Hawk Football staff as defensive line coach," Neal said. "I had the pleasure of coaching him at Howard Payne, where he played for four years and graduated with his bachelor's and his master's degrees. Coach Clegg is a great teacher and motivator, and he will make a hand for us on the recruiting trail in Texas where he has spent a lot of time and is well connected with coaches and programs."
