McMurry University Athletics

2009 Season (Freshman):

Split time on McMurry’s junior varsity and varsity programs as a wide receiver in his freshman season.

High School:

Played two seasons for head coach Trevor White at Alief Taylor High School. Joins McMurry teammates Ashford Evans-Brown and Bryce Givens from Alief Taylor H.S. Played wide receiver and caught 15 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns his senior year including a 65-yard touchdown catch against Jones High School. He also caught a key fourth-down conversion in an overtime game against Elsik High School his senior year that helped Taylor H.S. win the game and make the playoffs. Was named honorable mention all-district and was a two-time academic all-district selection. Also lettered in track.

Personal:

2009 graduate of Alief Taylor High School in Houston. Father, Byron, Sr., played football at Blinn College. Majoring in Business Management. Played against several NCAA Division I players in high school including Jeremy Hills (University of Texas at Austin), Andre Dean (UCLA), Darrell Sterman (Michigan) and Trent Hunter (Texas A&M). Born 29 Oct. 1990.
