Appeared in 23 games with 21 starts, splitting playing time at shortstop ... Had 21 hits in 76 at-bats for a .276 average ... Hit four doubles and four homers ... Was the only player to hit two triples for McMurry ... 18 runs scored ... 15 RBI ... Third on the team with a .539 slugging percentage ... Seven multi-hit games ... Stole three bases without being caught ... Had his first collegiate hit on March 30 against Schreiner, a leadoff triple that later resulted in a run ... Also hit a three-run homer later that game for his first collegiate round-tripper, leading to a 12-11 win ... Went on a six-game hitting streak following his first collegiate hit ... Ended the final series of the season with six hits over three games vs. Sul Ross State, including two homers, a triple, a double, four runs and four RBI.

Prepped at Van Vleck High School ... Starred on the baseball team while also playing quarterback and free safety on the football team ... All-District selection.
