McMurry Football's 2019 Distinguished Scholar Athlete honoree ... Fall Academic All-Conference selection ... Perfect 4.0 Grade Point Average ... Appeared in six games, working back from an injury to start the final four games of the year ... Helped the War Hawks rush for a season-best 254 yards in his first start back against Southwestern ... Helped protect the quarterback for three straight 250-plus passing yard games to end the season ... Won McMurry's Wally Award for Male Comeback Player of the Year.

2018 Season (Sophomore):
Fall Academic All-Conference selection ... Perfect 4.0 Grade Point Average ... Started eight games at left tackle.

A graduate of Roma High School (2017) … Coach was Max Habecker … Three varsity seasons … Three-time all-district selection (h.m. as a sophomore; first team junior and senior) … First team all-area as a junior and senior … As a junior, Class 5A All-State honorable mention offensive lineman by both Texas Sports Writers Association and the Associated Press Sports Editors … As a senior, was pre-season Class 5A all-state by Dave Campbell’s Football Magazine … 2017 Rio Grande Valley Coaches Association All-Star Game participant (West team) … Also a four-year letterman for RHS track and field, as a thrower … Distinguished Achievement Program graduate and graduated top-10 percent of class … National Honor Society member.

Born November 29, 1998 in McAllen, Texas … Son of the late Juan Ramirez and Teresa Ramirez … Has one older brother … enjoys traveling in free time … Father worked for the Department of Homeland Security with Customs and Border Protection, protecting the southern border of the U.S. … Family founded the “Juan Alberto Ramirez Memorial Scholarship,” having already benefitted 10 recipients … Also volunteers with Starr County Relay for Life … Would like to follow in his father’s footsteps and work for the Federal Government with the Department of Homeland Security … A sociology major.
