2018 season (Junior):
Played in all 10 games, nine of which as the starting quarterback ... Completed 167-of-315 passes for 2,112 yards and 15 touchdowns ... Finished with a 118.7 QB rating and completed over 50 percent of his passes ... Averaged 211.2 passing yards per game ... Had a breakout performance in a 35-24 win over Sul Ross State, completing 28 passes for 452 yards and four scores, all season highs ... The 452 passing yards were the most by a McMurry player since 2013 ... Also punted for the War Hawks' special team unit, launching a season-long 75 yard punt against Trinity last season ... Averaged 35 yards per punt with 19 punts inside the 20 and five that exceeded 50 yards.

2017 season (Sophomore):
Appeared in nine games, starting eight, as the War Hawks' signal-caller ... 109-190 passing (.57.4%) ... 155.1 yards per game ... 7 interceptions ... 13 touchdown passes ... Also ranked third on the team in rushing yards with 183 net on 79 carries ... Team-leading three rushing TDs, as well ...  Top game of the year was at Louisiana College (Oct. 14), completing 21-of-32 for 367 yards and a pair aerial of TDs, while also rushing 15 times for 41 yards and two TDs, as well ... As McM's punter, averaged 34.8 y.p.p. on 54 attempts, with a long of 53 yards and eight downed inside the 20.

2016 season (Freshman):
Appeared in 8 games ...  5-of-10 for 50 yards and one TD through the air ... 11 rushing yards on 4 carries ... Was also pressed into service as a punter, averaging 36 yards per punt on 26 attempts, with a long of 69 yards ... 8 punts inside the 20 and 2 punts of 50+ yards.

High School:
A graduate of Diboll High School (2016) … Coach was Blake Morrison … A three-year letterman … Also played baseball and basketball for the Lumberjacks … Twice all-district first team in hoops and once on the diamond.
 
Personal:
Born June 14, 1998 in Lufkin, Texas … Son of Kevin Hurley and Christi Salmasi, and stepson of Cody Salmasi and Celsa McGaughy … Has two older sisters … His father played basketball and baseball at Stephen F. Austin University and is a member of the school’s Hall of Fame … A kinesiology major.
