2012 season (Junior):
Ranked second on the McM team with 69 tackles … 48 solo stops … 5.5 tackles for loss … 1.0 sack …  Four pass break-ups … One QB hurry … Two forced fumbles … One blocked kick … One interception was a 57-yard return for TD in the third quarter of the War Hawks’ C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl victory over Southern Arkansas … Season-best 13 tackles in the C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl win (Dec. 1) … Also had double-digit tackle totals vs. Southern Nazarene (11) and Incarnate Word (10).

2010 and 2011 Seasons (Freshman and Sophomore)
Played two years at Cisco Community College … An all-conference selection at safety.

High School
A 2009 graduate of Cisco High School … Coached by Brent West … As a sophomore, was first team all-district as a defensive back … As a junior and a senior, earned first team all-district at both defensive back and wide receiver … All-state defensive back as a senior … Also competed in track and field for the Lobos … As a junior, was first in the region in pole vault and a state qualifier … As a senior, was third in state meet in 4x400 relay.

Personal
Born September 9, 1990 in Abilene, Texas … Son of Greg Pippen and Kay and Terry Slavens … Has two sisters … Father was a body builder who was “Mr. Texas” in 1986 and placed third in the USA National Championship … Father also played college football … A exercise and sports science major.
