Lettered four seasons in cross country and track for head coach Danny Calderon at Mansfield High School in Mansfield. Earned first-team all-district as a senior, second-team all-district as a junior and was his team’s MVP twice in cross country and once in track his senior year. Earned trips to the regional meet in cross country in each of his final two seasons.
