2011 Season (Junior)
ASC Academic All-Conference … A total of 17 tackles … 10 solo tackles … Four pass break-ups … High game of five tackles and two break-ups versus Louisiana College (Nov. 5).
 
2010 Season (Sophomore)
Recorded 13 tackles, one tackle for a loss, intercepted two passes and broke up one pass … Returned his second interception of the season 60 yards against Texas Lutheran (Oct. 16) on Homecoming … Also intercepted a pass against Bacone College (Sept. 4) … Earned academic all-conference for his performance in the classroom.
 
2009 Season (Freshman)
Played defensive back on McMurry’s junior varsity team.
 
High School
Played three seasons in the secondary for head coach Mel Maxfield at Burleson High School in Burleson … As a junior, was a first-team all-district selection at cornerback … Made the transition to safety as a senior and was a second-team all-district selection … Served as the team’s captain his senior year and was an academic all-state selection … Also lettered in baseball and basketball.
