Selected to two different preseason all-America teams. Morris was a first-team selection by the Consensus Draft Services and a second-team selection by D3football.com marking the first-ever preseason all-America selection by the latter for a McMurry player. Will start at free safety after two consecutive all-conference selections and returns as the defending ASC Defensive Player of the Year. Named one of the "Five Players To Watch" In Dave Campbell's 2011 Texas Football Magazine for the American Southwest Conference.
2010 Season (Junior):

Along with Desmond Baker, became the first McMurry all-American since the 2000 season when Morris was selected as honorable mention on D3football.com. Selected as a first-team all-South Region selection by D3football.com at safety. Named co-Defensive Player of the Year for the American Southwest Conference and was first-team all-ASC defensively. Missed the first two games of the season, but recorded 58 tackles with 22 solo efforts. Had three tackles for a loss, forced one fumble, intercepted five passes and broke up five more on the season. Posted 10 tackles in each of his final two games including five solo efforts against Louisiana College to accompany a forced fumble and a 74-yard interception return for a touchdown, which earned him a spot on the D3football.com National Team of the Week and a co-Defensive Player of the Week honor for the ASC. Ranked 11th in the ASC in tackles per game (7.2), sixth in passes defended per game (1.25), and tied for the league lead with four players for interceptions with five.
2009 Season (Sophomore):
Along with teammate Andrew Wallace, the pair became the first two players from McMurry to be named to the first-team all-ASC defensive team since linebacker Cale Melton did so in the 1999 season. Morris led all ASC defensive backs in tackles with 86 (35 solo). He recorded 4.0 tackles for a loss, two sacks, forced a fumble and had two interceptions. He was fifth in the ASC with nine pass breakups. Intercepted both passes in the season finale against Louisiana College. Recorded three consecutive games with at least 12 tackles including a season-high 14 against Mississippi College Sept. 19 where he also recorded 3.0 tackles for a loss and a sack. Broke up a pass in eight of the 10 games he played.
New Mexico State – NCAA Division I (Freshman):
Played in every game at free safety and recorded four tackles for head coach Hal Mumme at New Mexico State. Also recovered a fumble.
High School:
Played three seasons of football for head coach Don Clayton at Cinco Ranch High School in Katy. Helped Katy to a 30-6 record over those three season and was named all-district in his sophomore and senior seasons at defensive back. Also lettered in wrestling and went undefeated (43-0) on his way to two consecutive state championships. Named one of the Top 10 wrestlers in Texas as a senior. Also lettered in track and was an all-region and all-district performer.
