Transfers to his third school to play running back at McMurry as a junior in 2011.

2009 Season (Sophomore – Abilene Christian University):

Played in seven games for the nationally-ranked Wildcats in his sophomore season. Carried the ball 31 times for 103 yards and had one reception for 14 yards. Returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown against Eastern New Mexico Sept. 26. Tallied eight kickoffs for 294 yards and a touchdown. Had a season-high 33 yards on 11 carries against East Central Oklahoma Oct. 3.

2008 Season: (Freshman – University of Oklahoma): 

Saw spot duty as a backup running back.  Had a career-high 13 yards at Washington, including a career-long eight-yard run, Johnson had one reception for three yards against Chattanooga.  Finished the season with 14 carries for 24 yards. 

High school:

Had 204 carries for 2,164 yards and 25 TDs as a senior in 2007 when he was the Class 3A state Offensive Player of the Year, Class 3A MVP in East Texas and the district MVP.  He was first team Class 3A all-state as a senior after earning second team honors as a junior.  As a junior, Johnson logged 86 carries  for 1,015 yards and 11 TDs, and as a sophomore had 91 carries for 793 yards and eight TDs.  He also played defense as a sophomore, logging 49 tackles, six sacks and one interception.  Johnson played in U.S. Army All-American Game.  He was ranked the No. 2 running back by Scout.com, the No. 14 running back in the nation by Rivals.com and ESPN and the No. 17 overall player in Texas by Rivals.com.  Signed with Oklahoma after being recruited by OU, Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Kansas State, Mississippi and Notre Dame.
