Will compete again for a starting spot at linebacker in his fourth year with the program.
2010 Season (Junior):
Emerged as a starter late in the year and finished the season with 54 tackles, four tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, and forced and recovered one fumble. Had a season-high five solo tackles and finished with 10 total tackles against Texas Lutheran Oct. 16 and followed with a 10-tackle performance (two solo) against Hardin-Simmons Oct. 30. Forced and recovered a fumble against Texas College Sept. 10. Recorded 37 tackles combined in his final four games.
2009 Season (Sophomore):
Played in the secondary as a sophomore recording 25 tackles and two tackles for a loss. He also forced two fumbles and broke up a pass. He recorded 10 tackles, one tackle for a loss and forced a fumble in the season opener against nationally-ranked Trinity Sept. 5.
2008 Season (Freshman):
Played on McMurry’s JV Team.
High School:
Played three seasons for head coach Jim Wommack at Athens High School in Athens. Recorded 135 tackles, 11 TFL, forced three fumbles, recovered two, had two interceptions, and nine pass breakups. On the offensive side of the ball, he carried 30 times for 500 yards and three touchdowns and caught one touchdown pass. Earned multiple all-district honors and was an all-Henderson County team selection his sophomore and junior seasons. As a senior, he was named honorable mention all-state at linebacker, and was a first team selection for both the all-district and all-Henderson County teams. Also lettered in basketball and track, was named his school’s Male Athlete of the Year.

2008 graduate of Athens High School in Athens. Played against Jay Finley (Baylor), Louis Vasquez (OG, San Diego Chargers, Texas Tech), Jermie Calhoun (RB, Oklahoma) and Matthew Tucker (RB, Texas Christian) in high school. Born 21 July 1990.
