2010 Season (Junior):
Recorded six tackles and had one tackle for a loss in his junior season. Punted the ball four times for an averaged of 26 yards per punt. Had a season-high three tackles against Bacone College Sept. 4. Earned academic all-conference for the second-straight season.
2009 Season (Sophomore):
Provided depth on the defensive front for McMurry as a sophomore and also split time with all-conference punter John Kowalski. Defensively, he finished with six tackles including 0.5 for a loss. Punted 10 times for an average of 32.9 yards with a long punt of 48 yards.
2008 Season (Freshman):
Recorded four tackles (two solo). Took over punting duties late in the season and punted 21 times for 728 yards for a 34.7 average. Had a long punt of 50 yards against Texas Lutheran Oct. 25. Punted four balls inside the 20-yard line.
High School:
Played two seasons of varsity football for head coach Hugh Sandifer at Wylie High School in Abilene. Played tight end and defensive end. As a senior, he recorded 50 tackles and eight sacks. As a junior, he had 46 tackles, was credited with 23 hurries, had six sacks, forced two fumbles and blocked a punt. Helped Wylie to a 9-3 record in 2006 and an 11-3 mark his senior year in 2008. Was named to the Abilene Reporter News’ all-Big Country team as a defensive end. Was a first team all-district selection both seasons and earned all-region honors his senior year. Also lettered in soccer all four years and was the district MVP as a junior at the goalkeeper position. First team all-state selection in 2008 and earned numerous all-district awards.
Personal:
2008 graduate of Wylie High School in Abilene. Father, Steve, played collegiate baseball and football at Alma College in Michigan. Steve also serves as McMurry’s vice president of institutional advancement. His mother, Janet, played volleyball at Luther College. Janet also serves as McMurry’s football administrative assistant. Crisman had two brothers graduate from McMurry, Matt (’07) and Travis (’09). Majors in Business Management; has aspirations to attend grad school at UNLV to study Resort Management. Born 11 Oct. 1989.
