McMurry University Athletics

2009 Season: 

Led McMurry in wins as he finished with a 6-3 record.  Also collected one save as he appeared in a team-high 17 games, six of which starts.  Worked 50.2 innings and finished with a 497 ERA.  Struck out 31 batters.  Will enter his senior year third on the McMurry all-time career wins-loss percentage list as after his junior year he has an 11-3 mark, winning 78.6 percent of his games; 12th on the all-time wins list with 11; 10th on the appearances list with 38; 12th on the games started list with 18; 12th on the innings pitched list with 136.1; 11th on the career ERA list with a 4.49 ERA through three seasons; and 13th on the strikeouts list with 80.  

2008 Season: 

Appeared in 13 games and started 10, finishing with a 5-0 record.  Pitched a complete-game gem in McMurry’s conference-clinching 4-1 victory over Concordia Texas on May 4 en route to earning ASC Tournament MVP accolades.  Threw two complete games and tallied 67.0 innings pitched.  Struck out 37 batters and finished with a miniscule 2.96 ERA. 

2007 Season:

Appeared in seven games and pitched 12.1 innings as a freshman. Posted a 8.76 ERA, walked nine and struck out eight. Struck out three hitters in two innings against Austin College April 17.

High School:
 
Played three seasons on the mound for Lampasas High School in Lampasas. Recorded a 3-1 record in district play for his senior year and posted a 1.42 ERA. Named first team all-district his senior year, second team all-district his junior year and was an academic all-district selection all three seasons. Also lettered in football twice.
