ABILENE, Texas - McMurry Men's Soccer fell to Hardin-Simmons 4-2 in a conference match on Saturday.
The Cowboys got on the board in the 27th minute and added another in the 32nd minute to build a 2-0 lead.
A lightning delay suspended play at halftime, keeping both teams off the pitch for about two hours.
Following the extended break, Hardin-Simmons added a penalty kick goal in the 58th minute.
McMurry answered in the 68th minute when
Johnny Rocha sank a penalty kick for his first goal of the season.
The Cowboys extended their advantage with another goal in the 78th minute.
Justyn Judie responded for McMurry, driving in an unassisted goal in the 81st minute for his third score of the year to bring the match to its final 4-2 margin.
Enrique Cabello spent the full 90 minutes in goal for McMurry, registering seven saves.
Rocha led the War Hawk attack with five shots, including three on target, followed by
Alexis Aguinaga with three shots.
McMurry returns to Wilford Moore for more conference action on October 1st at 7:30 p.m. to host Howard Payne.
