McMurry Falls to St. Thomas in Conference Road Contest

HOUSTON, TX – In a game scheduled to conclude their weekend road trip, the McMurry War Hawks men's basketball team faced the University of St. Thomas on Sunday. Despite several hard-fought performances, McMurry was unable to overcome the Celts, falling short in a game originally scheduled for Sunday at the Jerabeck Activity and Athletic Center, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather across the state.

The match featured intense efforts across the roster, though the War Hawks found themselves playing catch-up as the Celts leveraged a strong home-court advantage. McMurry's offensive push surged behind several key contributors who battled to keep the game competitive deep into the second period. Defensively, the team hustled, swiping multiple steals and fighting to disrupt St. Thomas's rhythm in the paint.

Top War Hawk Performers
Koye Rondeno: Paced McMurry's scoring with 16 points and converted 5-of-6 attempts from the free-throw line.
