GEORGETOWN, TX - The McMurry women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw with Southwestern University on Friday at Southwestern's Varsity Fields. The War Hawks' offense was relentless, dominating the stat sheet with 17 shots, 10 of which were on goal.
The War Hawks' Laila Brown led the charge with four shots on goal, followed by Tatum Montgomery and Madison Black with two each. Kaylee Worth and Cameryn Peter also had a shot on goal.
On the defensive end, goalkeeper Avery Anders played the entire 90 minutes, making three saves to secure the shutout. The War Hawks' defense also held the Pirates to just 12 total shots.
The women next take on the Trinity University Tigers on Sunday in San Antonio at Trinity University Stadium at 4:00 p.m.
