CLARKSVILLE- The McMurry women's basketball team was able to secure another road victory on Friday in their conference matchup with Ozarks.
The War Hawks won the contest by a score of 65-52 as they moved to 15-4 on the year with an 8-2 conference record, while Ozarks fell to 11-9 with a 4-6 mark in conference play.
McMurry was able to set the tone early in the contest as they jumped out to an 18-10 lead after one quarter of play.
The Eagles would battle back as they out scored the War Hawks by one in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 7 points, as McMurry went into the locker room leading 31-24.
McMurry would go on to out score Ozarks in the second half 34-28 to push their lead & margin of victory to 13.
The War Hawks were never able to completely run away with this one, but they kept Ozarks at a comfortable distance throughout the entire contest before putting them away in the fourth quarter.
The War Hawks were led by Emily Holland with 22 points, followed by Aryana Cleveland with 20 points, while the Eagles were led by Naomi Smith with 20 points.
McMurry is back in action Sunday at Noon against Centenary in Shreveport.
