SAN ANTONIO- McMurry men's basketball team went on the road to being their conference schedule on Friday night in the second game of a men's & women's double header against Trinity.

The War Hawks were unable to find their groove throughout the game as they fell to the Tigers, 76-40. McMurry fell to 2-8 overall & 0-1 in conference play, while Trinity improved to 9-3 & 2-1 in conference play.

The first half saw the War Hawks struggle to score the ball, as they were only able to come up with 18 points in the first half, as Trinity took a 36-18 lead into the locker room.

McMurry would try to climb back into the contest, but Trinity's defense made it difficult for the War Hawks to string together scoring possessions. Trinity kept McMurry at a distance for the remainder of the contest as they would go on to win by double digits.

McMurry was led by Gervai Maeweathers with 9 points, followed by Jalen Cherry with 7, while Trinity was led by Jacob Harvey with 16 points.

The War Hawks are back in action against Schreiner tomorrow evening at 6:00pm in Kerrville.
