ABILENE – McMurry Volleyball hits the road this week for a pair of matches in Houston and Colorado Springs.

The War Hawks play Thursday at 6 p.m. against St. Thomas and Saturday at 11 a.m. (Mountain time) at Colorado College in a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contests.

Looking for Mo: McMurry is 6-5 overall and 1-1 in the league after sweeping Centenary on Saturday. This week is an opportunity for the War Hawks to stay tight within the lead pack of the Blue Division.

Hannah Page leads the SCAC in two categories: digs and aces. Page averages 5.81 digs per set and 0.57 aces per set. She is fourth in total digs with 215. McMurry is third in the SCAC in aces as a team at 1.81 per set.

Carli Colbert leads the SCAC and is fourth in NCAA Division III with two triple-doubles this season.

Killers: Three War Hawks are averaging two or more kills per set, led by
Jacee Dinkins at 2.17.
Jennika Willis averages 2.06 and
Carli Colbert is at 2.00.

Block: Rylie Patterson and
Addyson Tiffin lead McMurry in blocks, averaging 0.78 and 0.72 blocks per set, respectively.

About St. Thomas: St. Thomas beat McMurry in their last meeting in 2008, 3-1. The Celts have lost their last five matches after starting the season at 5-2. Now at 5-7 overall and 0-1 in the league, UST enters Thursday's match after a loss on Friday at Colorado College, 3-0. Alexis Bodunrin and Audrey Cataline lead the team with 2.73 kills per set each. Kara Spice averages 5.02 digs per set.

About Colorado College: McMurry and Colorado College last met in 2009 and CC got the 3-0 win in Colorado. The Tigers are 5-6 overall and 1-0 in the SCAC after its sweep of St. Thomas last week. CC takes on Dallas on Friday. Carolyn Dormady and Camille Sherrill lead the Tigers with 3.46 and 3.16 kills per set. Annie Steger averages 11 assists per game.
