ABILENE – McMurry swimming capped off a strong season with academic accolades from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Both the men's and women's teams from McMurry made the CSCAA All-America Scholar Team. The War Hawks women finished the fall with a 3.43 team grade point average while the men achieved a 3.16 team GPA.

A dozen McMurry swimmers also were honored by earning a spot on the SCAC Winter Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll. The award requires a 3.25 grade point average. Earning the distinction from the men's team were
Jaxon Batten, James Behrens,
Kristopher Cantu,
Montgomery Cortez, Alec Feidhousen and
Daniil Kochkonbaev.
Kailey Dutcher,
Lorin Mow, Madalyn Rohrer,
Caitlyn Sauer,
Melinda Siebert and
Isabella Trevino received the honor on the women's team.

"We are very proud of the accomplishments these men and women have achieved in the classroom this past year," said McMurry swimming head coach Mark Jedow. "Their hard work and dedication in the classroom and pool will only further their ability to establish and maintain successful careers upon graduating from McMurry University."
