ABILENE – McMurry Volleyball closes out the regular season with a busy week that sees the War Hawks play at home on Tuesday before hitting the road for three games this weekend.
 
The University of the Southwest visits Kimbrell Arena at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. The War Hawks play at Howard Payne at 3 p.m. on Friday and then close out the regular season at the second Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Crossover at Southwestern. McMurry plays Trinity at 11 a.m. and Southwestern at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
 
War Hawks Storylines
 
Playoffs in Sight: One year after suffering through a two-win season, the War Hawks are poised to make the SCAC Tournament. The turnaround has seen McMurry go 12-12 overall with a 7-6 SCAC record thus far.
 
Kills Leaders: Jacee Dinkins leads the War Hawks with 2.15 kills per game with Jennika Willis at 1.93. Addyson Tiffin averages 1.82 and leads the team with a .256 attack percentage.
 
Assistance: Carli Colbert leads the War Hawks with 4.35 assists per game with Ashlyn Quillan at 3.55. Alexis Dolton stepped in last weekend and averaged six per set.
 
Aces: Hannah Page is second in the SCAC with 0.52 aces per set and third with 45 total aces.
 
Blocks: Addyson Tiffin leads McMurry with 0.81 blocks per set with Rylie Patterson contributing at 0.68.
 
Digs: Hannah Page leads the War Hawks with 4.66 digs per set. Jacee Dinkins is second at 3.14.
 
About USW: The University of the Southwest is 3-15 this season, including a three-set loss to open the season against McMurry. Alexia Esparza leads the Mustangs with 2.83 kills per set.
 
About Howard Payne: The Yellow Jackets are 13-11, including a 3-2 win at McMurry last month. Tara Bennett averages 3.1 kills per set.
 
About Trinity: Trinity is 18-6 overall and 11-1 against the SCAC. The 19^th-ranked Tigers are led by McKenzie Logan with 3.43 kills per set. Four Tigers average more than two kills per set.
 
About Southwestern: Ranked 16^th nationally, Southwestern is 18-5 overall and 8-3 in the SCAC. Carly Berkman leads four Pirates averaging two or more kills per set at 2.92.
