SEGUIN – McMurry took a 1-0 lead but dropped a 2-1 women's soccer contest at Texas Lutheran on Friday.
 
Jaelynn Portillo scored in the ninth minute with an assist from Alexis Lira.
 
TLU scored late in the first half and got the winning goal in the 56^th minute.
 
McMurry had seven shots, including shots on goal by Portillo, Laila Brown and Emily Holland.
 
Avery Anders had two saves.
 
The loss, combined with an upset win by Concordia, locked McMurry into fifth place. The War Hawks wrap up the season Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Southwestern.
