ABILENE – McMurry Volleyball returns to the home courts for one match this week, hosting the University of Dallas on Thursday at 6 p.m.
McMurry comes in at 9-9 overall and 4-4 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference after taking a pair of 3-2 matches from Concordia and Schreiner on Saturday.
McMurry Storylines
Crossed Over: The War Hawks went 2-1 in the SCAC Crossover Tournament with a loss to Texas Lutheran on Friday and the two five-set wins on Saturday.
Previous Meeting: The War Hawks and Dallas played earlier this month in Irving with McMurry getting the 3-0 win.
Jacee Dinkins led McM with 10 kills, while
Carli Colbert added 10 assists and
Hannah Page added 13 digs.
Page Leading: Libero
Hannah Page leads the SCAC with 0.54 aces per set this season. She has 35 this season. Page also is fifth in the league with 312 digs and 4.80 digs per set.
Block Party: Addyson Tiffin had a strong Saturday at the net and improved her blocks per set average to 0.84, which is seventh in the conference. She has 54 blocks on the season.
Triple-Doubles: Carli Colbert, with triple-doubles against Wisconsin-Superior and Millsaps, is eight nationally and leads the SCAC with two triple-doubles this season. She had 11 kills, 20 assists and 16 digs against UWS and 10 kills, 14 assists and 13 digs against Millsaps. Colbert leads McMurry with 4.14 assists per set.
Attack: Jacee Dinkins leads McMurry with 2.20 kills per set.
Jennika Willis is at 1.88 and
Addyson Tiffin averages 1.78. Tiffin leads the team with a .238 attack percentage.
Scouting U Dallas: The Crusaders are 1-20 overall and 1-7 overall after going 0-3 in the Crossover last weekend. Bailie Garcia leads the team with 2.01 kills and Reagan Aponte averages 6.01 assists.
