ABILENE, TEXAS – A back and forth match-up between a pair of former American Southwest Conference foes kicked off McMurry University's home schedule Friday, Sept. 15.
The War Hawks and transitioning NCAA Division II foe Sul Ross State University kept a strong crowd of 200 fans on the edge of their seats inside Kimbrell Arena. The visiting Lobos held off their hosts 25-23 in set one and 26-24 in set three, while the Maroon and White rolled in the second and fourth sets by identical 25-13 counts. Head coach

Junior outside hitter
Jacee Dinkins' sizzling season kept on going. The Azle, Texas, native terrorized the opposing defense to the tune of 18 kills and just one error on 42 attempts for a .405 attack percentage, highlighting her fifth double-figure kills total of the season and a personal single-match career best mark.
Other impressive numbers for the home team included a combined 38 assists put up by freshman setter

Hannah Page (Lubbock, Texas) served up four aces and tallied 12 digs; senior defensive specialist/libero Addie Leal (Clute, Texas) wound up with 28 digs; and the team totaled five blocks with one solo coming from senior middle hitter
