MAROON AND WHITE CONCLUDE FINAL REGULAR SEASON ASC TRIP

AUSTIN, TEXAS – The sophomore infield combination of third baseman Riley Hood (Abilene, Texas) and second baseman Dylan Lee (Hutto, Texas) each gathered two hits in the third game of an American Southwest Conference weekend series Saturday, April 22.

Hood was two-for-four at the dish, while Lee wound up two-for-three for head coach Josh Lee's squad at Concordia University's Tornado Field. Junior shortstop Blake Beach (Atascocita. Texas) added a run scored and hit, as sophomore first baseman Dylan Abbott (San Angelo, Texas) had similar numbers. The quartet topped a two-run, eight-hit offensive story.

The host Tornados registered a high-flying scoreboard resume over 14 innings, featuring five frames of two-or-more tallies. CU used a 10-run third in the opener toward a 16-0, seven-inning victory. The nightcap was more of the same, as the hosts plated eight runs over the first two innings to claim a 12-2, seven-inning win.

McMurry (13-23 overall, 7-17 ASC) winds up four in a row on the road Tuesday, April 25. First pitch at Texas Lutheran University's Katt-Isbel Field in Seguin, Texas, is 4 p.m.
