ABILENE, TEXAS – For fans of diamond offense, the American Southwest Conference opener between McMurry University and East Texas Baptist University didn't disappoint Friday, March 31.
The host War Hawks and visiting Tigers posted 11 extra-base hits, five of them big flies, 22 runs, and 32 hits in a back-and-forth affair at Walt Driggers Field. Ultimately, the league's leading group overcame an 8-4 deficit midway through by tallying eight of the final 10 runs for a 12-10 decision.
