ABILENE, TEXAS – Senior
Jenna Lewis (Hearne, Texas), sophomore
Baylee Fulps (San Angelo, Texas) and senior
Kaylee Berdoll (Elgin, Texas) didn't give the University of the Ozarks much margin for error Friday, March 24.

Head coach
David McNally's pitching trio locked up the visiting Eagles on only five hits during American Southwest Conference action at Edwards Field. With that resume which included seven strikeouts, McMurry University's offense had plenty of support.

The Maroon and White's bats merrily acquiesced. Freshman first baseman
Bre Barajas (Abilene, Texas) and senior outfielder
Brianna Martinez (Yucaipa, California) each drove in two runs in the game one 9-0, five-inning victory which also included multiple-hit outings from Barajas, freshman third baseman
Miranda Soileau (Houston, Texas), junior outfielder
Mercedes Camacho (El Paso, Texas) and sophomore designated player
Aliyah Tanguma (Kyle, Texas). The nightcap was nip-and-tuck from the get-go, as Fulps and UO's Morgan Haupt went toe-to-toe separated by only one run through five frames. Junior outfielder
Jesse Stephenson (Marble Falls, Texas) belted a key run-scoring double in the sixth to help insure the sweep.

McMurry (13-3 overall, 7-1 ASC) resumes the weekend series with the University of the Ozarks Saturday, March 25. Start time is 11 a.m.
