McMurry University had five players score in double digits in a 95-93 loss to LeTourneau University in Longview Saturday, Dec. 2 in American Southwest Conference action

Senior guard CJ LeBlanc (Dallas, Texas) led the War Hawks with 27 points, followed by sophomore guard Coco Rose (Odessa, Texas) with 19, freshman forward Tristan Holden (San Antonio, Texas) with 15, junior forward TJ Hilliard (New Orleans, Louisiana) with 12 and junior guard Matt Pena (El Paso, Texas) with 10.
Both teams battled to a 45-45 tie at halftime, and the opponent won the second half 50-48.
LeBlanc was hot beyond the three-point line with five bombs while Holden added four. Pena led the team with 10 rebounds, three on offense and seven on defense, Hilliard contributed nine, two on offense and seven on defense, senior forward/center Elias Garcia (Houston, Texas) chipped in eight, three on offense and five on defense, and Holden had seven, three on offense and four on defense.
Holden blocked three shots, Hilliard blocked two and Rose blocked one. Hilliard also had three steals.
The score was tied 13 times and the lead changed hands 14 times. Rose was a perfect 5 of 5 on free throws while LeBlanc was a perfect 2 of 2.
McMurry, 3-3 overall and 0-2 in conference, returns to Kimbrell Arena Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. game with Sul Ross State University.
