McMurry University's War Hawks lost 83-75 to Schreiner University in Kerrville Wednesday, Dec. 20.
 

Senior guard CJ LeBlanc (Dallas, Texas) led the way with 16 points, followed by junior guard Matt Pena (El Paso, Texas) and sophomore guard Coco Rose (Odessa, Texas) with 13 each, and junior forward Josh Alcocer (San Antonio, Texas) with 11. LeBlanc nailed four three-pointers while Alcocer and Pena both connected on three apiece. At the free throw line, freshman forward Tristan Holden (San Antonio, Texas) was a perfect 2 of 2, Rose was 2 of 3 and freshman guard Deshawn Crawford (Desoto, Texas) was 1 of 2.
 

Holden blocked a shot. Crawford had three steals and junior forward TJ Hilliard (New Orleans, Louisiana) had two. Pena led in rebounding with nine, two on offense and seven on defense, and senior forward/center Elias Garcia (Houston, Texas) added eight, two on offense and six on defense.
 

Coach Zach Pickelman's team won the first half 34-29 but lost the second 54-41. The lead changed hands nine times and the score was tied eight times.

McMurry, 5-6 overall, plays Texas Lutheran University in Seguin at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
